About Film Assist and Development Center

For the purpose of building a complete production-friendly environment, the New Taipei City Government established the New Taipei City Film Assist And Development Center in 2011. The center keeps a building guide and serves as the one-stop service contact for related inquiries. In addition to accepting various filming applications, the center provides services such as location advice, location coordination, and administrative support.

8 secluded locations in New Taipei City were featured “Silence,” a feature film by internationally renowned director, Martin Scorsese; old military residences appeared in director Tsai Ming-Liang's "Stray Dogs;" and the New Taipei City Gold Museum provided the location for director John Woo's "The Crossing." Numerous artists have found their locational inspirations in New Taipei City.

New Taipei City is rich in beautiful natural and urban landscapes. The city welcomes production teams from around the world to come and capture the stories and the many faces of New Taipei City.
