Apply for filming

Filmmakers from all around the world are invited to New Taipei to look for their ideal locations

Application Process

4 Simple Steps

STEP. 1
Phone Inquiry
Once the crew has selected their ideal locations, phone the Film Assist and Development Center to ask for assistance in applying for filming.

Provide the Required Information
Download the forms and fill them out. Send all required documents by email to

STEP. 3
Proceed with Filming
Once the application has been approved, we will contact the relevant authority who manages the location. Upon their agreement, we will issue the permit and the crew can begin the shooting.
STEP. 4
Completion of Work
After the shooting, the location must be cleaned up and restored to its previous conditions. Information requested in the affidavit must be submitted.

- Application Fees
  There is no application fee. Depending on location management, rental fees, utilities, or a deposit might be required.
STEP. 2
Provide the
Required Information
- Booking Clashes
  Only one application will be considered for the same timeslot at one location. Those who have applied and have been approved sooner will be prioritized.

    - New Taipei City Production Assistance Application
    - Production proposal(Including the script, scope of filming, set layout, and time)
    - The roster of filming crew
    - Affidavit for Application for New Taipei City production assistance program
    - Risk Assessment Checklist of Shooting Location
  - Might Be Required
    - Registration of Incorporation/ ID of Applicant(Required for first-time applicants)
    - Road closure traffic management plan
    - Production proposal with special requests or set construction plan
    - Other documents required by location management authority
    - Self-Confirmation Form of Safety Maintenance Plan

STEP. 3
Proceed
with Filming
- Whether Staff from FADC will Be Present at the Shooting
  Once the Film Assist and Development Center receives an application, an assistant will be assigned to conduct site inspection with the crew. During the shooting of scenes with special requests (e.g., road closure, car accident, explosion), the assistant will be on site.
- Insurance
  The Film Assist and Development Center does not offer insurance. Production crews must purchase insurance for themselves.
- Violation of Terms
  In the event of the following violation of terms, the Information Department of New Taipei City Government may ask the production crew, the producer, the director, or the key violators to cease filming immediately. All subsequent services will also be terminated.
  - Begin shooting without approval.
  - Failure to restore the location to its previous condition.
  - Conduct explosion or modify the set without applying for approval.
  - Significant discrepancy between the content of the resulting work and that of the proposal.
STEP. 4
Completion of Work

  - Acknowledgement in The Opening or Closing Credits
    Inclusion of the following titles and logos in the opening or closing credits of the film
    - New Taipei City GovernmentLOGO download

  - Submit Information x 4
    Within one month of completing the shooting, submit five photos of the set to the Information Department, New Taipei City Government.
    - Five photos of the set
    - Five behind-the-scenes photos
    - Five promotional photos of the film
    - A 30-second clip of the film
    * Promotional photos and the video clip can be submitted one month before the film premiere
    * Photos should be high-resolution (300dpi or above) and without watermarks
