The drama "Tears on Fire" focuses on the daily life of firefighters, shedding light on their little-known workplace, the stress and frustration at work, the friendship between colleagues, and the impact of firefighting work on family relationships. The filming locations of this work include Wulai, Xindian, Shulin, Danshui, and Linkou in New Taipei. Before the filming started, the director and the screenwriter spent time at the Xindian unit and Jyuguang unit of New Taipei City Fire Department for field research. They even went on real missions with the firefighters to observe their work close-up. The fictional Tongan unit in the show is actually the combination of three sets, including the high-rise garage and the big square of Shulin unit, and the duty desk and the top floor of Jinshan unit. The interior of Tongan unit, including the office, stand-by room, and kitchen, were created in the old Tamsui Land Office building.
