Huanggang Fishing Port is rich in fish catches. It is an important seafood port in the Jinshan area. It is also the only fishing port in Taiwan that preserves the traditional technique of “fire fishing,” which is also one of the eight unique scenes of Jinshan. In summer, fishing boats sail out at night and burn calcium carbide with water to light up the sea, attracting fish by taking advantage of their positive phototaxis. In the orange-red fire, thousands of fish jump out of the water, forming a spectacular sight. The adjacent Jinshan Beach covers a large area. Located on the leeward side, the wind and waves are not strong, making it a great place for families with children to hang out. The tranquility of the small fishing town and the vast hinterland here should be considered for interested filming crews.
