The most well-known of Laomei Beach is the wonder of Laomei Green Reef, volcanic rocks covered by green seaweed that stretches for several kilometers. It seems like the reefs have colored the coast green. This beautiful sight is dependent on the tides and season, only appearing from mid-March to early May, and is particularly spectacular during Qingming Festival in April. The long stretch of sandy beach, endless wind-break forest, as well as the nearby Laomei Old Street, are also popular among filming crews. Whether you are here for a shoot or a casual trip, you must be careful not to step on the green reef. Besides the danger of slipping, the living environment of seaweed might also be destroyed, making the unique sight difficult to recover.
