Introduction

Sandiaojiao Lighthouse, which was constructed in 1931, sits at the easternmost tip of Taiwan. Thus, it is famous for owning the first ray of the Sun of a year in Taiwan, and becomes a popular destination for visitors seeking to catch the earliest dawn rays.

The lighthouse, the only one open to the public in northern Taiwan, has an exhibition room inside and offers a panoramic view, overlooking the Magang Port and Lailai Geological Zone. This is also the reason why Sandiaojiao Lighthouse becomes a favorite location for shooting TV dramas and wedding photos.
