Xizhi Night Market, located under the railway bridge between Section 1 of Shuiyuan Road and Xinxing Road in Xizhi District, is the first public-run and publicly-operated night market in New Taipei City. It is close to the afternoon market, offering convenient transportation and a strong sense of local life. Since relocating to its current site in 2014, the night market has featured neatly arranged stalls, a bright and well-ventilated environment, and complete public amenities including rain shelters and restrooms, creating a comfortable open space.
The night market offers local delicacies such as shaved ice, sparerib noodles, longfeng tui (drumstick-shaped pork roll), and Taiwanese fried chicken, blending traditional and innovative flavors to showcase everyday culinary culture. With its stable environment, clear circulation, and consistent lighting, Xizhi Night Market is particularly suitable for nighttime filming, stories of ordinary life, and local atmosphere documentaries.
